Hoak Motors has been serving the Siouxland area for over 60 years. My grandfather, Richard S. Hoak, Sr. started the business in 1945. Back then, the business was called Dickson Hoak Company and it carried the Dodge/Plymouth line. In 1954, grandpa sold that business to Dick Dickson, bought the Oldsmobile franchise, and started Hoak Oldsmobile. In 1964, he added the Cadillac franchise.

In 1974, my father Rick Hoak Jr. became president of Hoak Oldsmobile. In 1979, Chuck Wood (my uncle) and dad purchased the business from my grandpa and renamed it Hoak Motors. In 1984, we acquired the GMC Truck franchise. In 1997 we purchased the Pontiac and Nissan lines. Now we offer the largest selection of new car lines in the Siouxland area!

In 1999, needing someone to help with the then new and growing Pontiac & Nissan lines, I joined the family business. In 2000 my uncle retired and I became general manager of the company. Additionally, my brother Chris Hoak moved home to take over the responsibilities of our long time office manager after his retirement. In 2004 we acquired some land on Singing Hill Blvd. and began to move our 60 year business into its first new home in 50 yrs! August 2005 we open our new location and have loved our new location and the many new guests we meet each day.

All these years, we've continued the tradition of great service and great selection at great prices. Daily we renew our devotion to our customers, friends, and family. We've done this because we want to be your one-stop automotive shopping center.
